I have already been really turned on to bulgar, I've found almost any pilaf recipe can be made with it? Can anyone else suggest any ideas?Whole grain/Low Glycemic index ideas or recipes?
My big thing lately is quinoa. I use it as a substitute for rice, and it also does make a lovely pilaf.
For a Southwest flavor, mix with cheese, salsa, and black beans for a spicy and heathly side dish.
Toss with sauteed spinach and garlic, with some olive oil and lemon juice.
