We are having a potluck of red foods at work on valentines day and I am looking for something creative and that tastes good. Thanks ahead of timeAny good recipes for red foods?
You can make almost ANY food red if you add enough red food coloring! :-) Pasta takes red pretty well, as do potatoes and caulflower. A lot of desserts, of course, can be red (or made to be red).
I'd make a pasta salad with red pasta, cherry tomatoes, and red peppers with italian dressing or something.... or the red mashed potatoes (my kids LOVE that!).
Meatballs with cranberry/barbecue sauce -- that would be red, warm (since it's winter), and very tasty for a potluck, if you want to mess with something like that (I'd be happy to e-mail the recipe if you want it).Any good recipes for red foods?
Red Heart Pizza
Ingredients
pizza base
2 tbs sundried tomato paste
1 tin tomatoes
mixed herbs
1 onion
1 red pepper
ground black pepper
vegan parmazan
Spread the tomato paste onto the base and then drain the tin of tomatoes and add the chunks onto the base. Sprinkle on the herbs and then cover with the finely chopped onion (already partly cooked) and the slices of red pepper.
Cook in the oven on gas mark 5 for 20 mins (straight on the shelf). Take out and sprinkle on ground black pepper and vegan parmazan cheese.

This beautiful and romantic recipe, perfect for Valentine's Day or anytime, is super easy and so delicious. You could also dip cubes of pound cake and pear and apple slices.
INGREDIENTS:
1 quart fresh large strawberries, with tops
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3 Tbsp. heavy cream
PREPARATION:
Quickly rinse strawberries and dry thoroughly; keep tops on. In small microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave on medium power for 2 minutes; stir. Continue microwaving in 30 second intervals if necessary, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
Dip strawberries in chocolate mixture and eat.
