Well, I'm trying to figure out how to make good stuffing. Anyone have any recipes? Also does anyone know where to buy pumpkin pie?
Thanks!Does Anyone Have Any Good Recipes For Turkey Stuffing?
Things You'll Need:
10 to 12 Pound Turkey
1-pound loaf of sliced bread
1 large onion, finely minced
2 stalks celery, finely diced
Sage
Butter
1 cup chicken broth
Salt
Cube the bread into pieces approximately 1 inch by 1 inch, leaving crusts on. Place cubed bread on baking sheet in one layer to dry out for 2 hours.
Step 2Mince the onion finely, about the size of slivered almonds. Dice the celery finely, also about the size of slivered almonds.
Step 3Microwave the chicken stock and butter together, until the butter melts and stock is hot. Remove from the microwave and add the sage to the hot stock.
Step 4Place dried bread cubes in a large, wide bowl. Add approximately 录 cup of the stock mixture, enough to barely moisten the bread.
Step 5Add the diced celery and onions and toss with the moistened bread mixture. Mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 6Add enough stock to the mixture that bread will hold a ball shape when grasped in your hand.
Step 7Stuff the turkey, which has been well-rinsed and seasoned with salt and pepper.
Step 8Bake the turkey.
Great Additions
Step 1Chop or crumble sausage into the stuffing mix for a smokey flavor.
Step 2Add apples and walnuts or pecans for a crunchy texture.
Step 3Substitute white wine for the chicken broth for a more subtle flavor.
Step 4Add lemon wedges to the turkey before stuffing for a crisper flavor.
Step 5Include raisins in the basic recipe for a subtle, sweet flavor.

This has been my favorite recipe for stuffing for the past 25+ years, with a few modifications every now and again of added mushrooms, sausage, clams.........you get my drift, but this has always been the base! So, I hope this helps you out, sorry I don't like Pumpkin Pie for your second question. You're Welcome!
Old Fashioned Giblet Stuffing
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup butter
1 sack giblets from one turkey
1 cup diced celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
8 cups dry bread cubes
1 cup chicken broth
DIRECTIONS
Chop giblets and cook in butter in a medium skillet over medium heat, 2 minutes. Stir in celery and onion and cook until tender, but not brown. Remove from heat and stir in salt, pepper and poultry seasoning.
Place bread crumbs in a large bowl. Toss with giblet mixture and enough broth to lightly moisten the bread. Use stuffing to stuff an 18 pound turkey, or bake separately, in a 2 quart dish, covered, 40 to 45 minutes in a 375 degree F (190 degree C) oven.
This is a ridiculously good stuffing recipe. I think everyone loves their mom's stuffing, but this ain't your mom's stuffing ;-) I've been making it for a few years now - have brought it to several different gatherings and always to huge compliments.
new england sausage, apple and dried cranberry stuffing
Servings: 14 Servings (About 18 cups).
14 ounces white bread, cut into 3/4-inch cubes (about 12 cups)
1 pound sweet Italian sausages, casings removed
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
6 cups sliced leeks (white and pale green parts only; about 3 large leeks)
1 pound tart green apples, peeled, cored, chopped
2 cups chopped celery with leaves
4 teaspoons poultry seasoning
1 cup dried cranberries (about 4 ounces)
4 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
2/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
3 eggs, beaten to blend
1 1/3 cups (about) canned low-salt chicken broth
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350掳F. Divide bread cubes between 2 large baking sheets. Bake until slightly dry, about 15 minutes. Cool completely.
Saut茅 sausages in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through, crumbling coarsely with back of spoon, about 10 minutes. Using slotted spoon, transfer sausage to large bowl. Pour off any drippings from skillet. Melt butter in same skillet over medium-high heat. Add leeks, apples, celery and poultry seasoning to skillet; saut茅 until leeks soften, about 8 minutes. Mix in dried cranberries and rosemary. Add mixture to sausage, then mix in bread and parsley. Season stuffing to taste with salt and pepper. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Cover and refrigerate.) Mix eggs into stuffing.
To bake stuffing in turkey: Fill main turkey cavity with stuffing. Mix enough chicken broth into remaining stuffing to moisten (about 3/4 to 1 cup chicken broth, depending on amount of remaining stuffing). Spoon remaining stuffing into buttered baking dish. Cover with buttered aluminum foil. Bake stuffing in dish alongside turkey until heated through, about 45 minutes. Uncover stuffing and bake until top is golden brown, about 15 minutes.
To bake all stuffing in pan: Preheat oven to 350掳F. Butter 15x10x2-inch baking dish. Mix 1 1/3 cups broth into stuffing. Transfer to prepared dish. Cover with buttered foil and bake until heated through, about 45 minutes. Uncover and bake until top is golden brown, about 15 minutes.
1. I have always just bought the Pepperridge Farms Stuffing packet and followed the directions. I also add about 3/4 cup of chopped walnuts. It comes out sooooo delicious.
2. I have baked and bought pumpkin pies. The absolutely BEST is to buy the ones at Costco. They taste SUPER great and perfect. And they are VERY large! Not worth the time and effort when you can buy one this delicious! (And, the price is fantastic!)
