i have a delicious desert. you need strawberries, whip cream, and pound cake (or vanilla cake) it doesnt really matter.
1. Wash and cut the strawberry tops and cut them in half.
2. Get a tall, big, glass cup.
3. Depending on the size of your cup, cut the cake into however large square pieces.
4. In the cup, put in a piece of cake.
5. On top of the cake put on a couple of strawberries.
6. On top of the strawberries, put on whip cream.
7. Keep repeating this until you have reached the top, Trust me it is very delicious.
8. And it looks great when you serve it.
Good luck
simple chocolate souffle.
6 Servings
Measure Ingredient
25 grams Cornflour
250 millilitres Milk
100 grams Good dark chocolate
50 grams Sugar
3 Egg yolks
5 Egg whites
1 tablespoon Extra sugar, caster if available.
It is a very light souffle, which doesn't sink *too* much when you dig into it. If any is left over it is still very fluffy and yummy when cold. Mix cornflour to a thin paste with some of the milk. Put the remaining milk in a saucepan with the chocolate and sugar, and stir over a gentle heat until the chocolate melts and the sugar dissolves. Add cornflour paste carefully and bring mixture to boil to thicken, stirring continuously, then remove from heat. Beat in egg yolks one by one, and leave mixture to cool slightly. (You can prepare in advance this far and if needed warm the mixture slightly before continuing.) Beat egg whites until they begin to stand in soft peaks, then add extra sugar and beat until the mixture stands in stiff peaks but is not dry. Fold into chocolate mixture gently. Immediately pour into greased and sugared 1 litre souffle dish (with a paper collar), and bake at 190 degrees celsius for 40 - 45 minutes. Serve immediately
I make this all the time just for myself or for get-togethers.
No Name Dessert: From my mother.
About 1/2 pint of strawberries, sliced.
2-3 bananas sliced
1 1/2 TB sugar
2-3 good size dollops of sour cream (Start with 2)
Stir together. If you like bananas, add more or less. Same goes with the strawberries. Add more sugar if it needs to be a little more sweet. If the sour cream is too thick, add a little more sugar. The sugar ';melts'; the sour cream.
This is delicious and very easy to make:
Lemon Ice Box Cake
1 (18 1/4-oz.) yellow or lemon cake mix
2 (14-oz.) cans sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 (8-oz.) carton frozen whipped dessert topping (such as Cool Whip)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake yellow cake in 5 layers, or in two layers for 25 to 30
minutes and after cooling split layers.
While cake is baking, mix condensed milk and lemon
juice. Put into refrigerator to cool. When cake
layers are cool, spread condensed milk mixture
between layers, reserving 1/2 cup mixture. Mix
reserved mixture with frozen dessert topping.
Spread on top and sides of cake. Store in
refrigerator. Serves 12.
