You could try mince pies - just use sweet shortcrust pastry filled with mincemeat from a jar, and place a pastry lid on top.

Mulled wine is a good drink, and we often serve it with mince pies. You can make it as strong or weak as you like, or even make it with non-alcoholic wine, and it goes a long way.CHRISTMAS IN ENGLAND! what kind of food do you eat? can you give me RECIPES?
We don't eat mashed potatoes as a traditional side dish with our Christmas Dinner....we have roast potatoes!
Well as a former chef and my family being of British heritage, they eat alot like the US, but there are specialties like there form of Xmas pudding, roast turkey or goose, brussel sprouts are must(even though most hate them) mash potatos, mince pies or tarts are popular, shortbread (Walkers Scottish is available in stores), Wassal bowl and mulled cider or wine.

They also eat more traditonal food for winter like pork pies, more lamb and beef, but there traditions are what US and Canadians are based on. Get a quart of egg nog, box of shortbreads and a Xmas cake and your as british as the next person, a box of chocolate is a house giving present, Black Magic or a Cadburys brand are there best types.
